"My husband and I are on our fourth visit to this area and this hotel - we come to this beautiful part of New Zealand about once every couple of years and would not stay anywhere else. We usually book one of the lakeview suites which, obviously, has a wonderful lakefront view. It is very quiet and the room is generously sized, with a separate lounge area and kitchenette, plus a fabulous bathroom with large shower and a spa bath. We also stayed once in one of the villas which was very secluded and spacious. The hotel has a sauna and a quiet pool area, both little used as most guests are on short stays filled with excursions, so on a sunny afternoon it can feel like you have a private pool. The staff are all very friendly and the service is excellent, from reception to cleaning to the varied and plentiful breakfast buffet and the dinner and room service options. All the little town's amenities are within easy walking distance. For the location and quality of this hotel, the prices are very good and we cannot recommend this hotel, and the area, highly enough, nor can we wait to come back again soon"!
