"We are writing to express our gratitude for the exceptional service received during our stay from January 5-7. From the moment we walked into the lobby until our last day, everyone went the extra mile without asking.
About a month before we arrived, we contacted Distinction Te Anau to inquire about available options for our stay. Reservations Manager Bridget offered an special rate to upgrade to the Deluxe Lake View Suite and champagne. We decided we were fine with the regular lake view room. When we arrived at the hotel on January 5 to check-in with Shannen, we were completely surprised and happy when Bridget upgraded us to the Deluxe Lake View Suite. The room was amazing and we felt like royalty. It was the beginning of what was to be a great wedding day.
A couple of hours before the wedding, the iron in our room wasn’t pressing our clothes very well. Despite our panic, Shannen helped us by sending someone to our room to pick them up and have them pressed for us. Our clothes were returned on time and they looked great!
Right after the delivery of our ironed clothes, Shannen delivered a bottle of champagne. We have never been treated so well from any hotel. Again we were surprised and happy.
We worked with Events Manager Ginalyn regarding a small reception with some appetizers and our cake. Again, the level of service far exceeded our expectations. She was very patient and attentive and made us feel important. Working with Shannen and Ginalyn, we had asked if a small area near the fireplace would be available for six people for the reception. We were told yes and continued to the wedding venue.
After the ceremony and a photo shoot, we arrived back at the hotel to discover that the entire area where the fireplace is located was reserved for us. Tables were nicely setup and a special table with candles surrounded our cake. We didn’t expect that and again, the service was above and beyond! Even the wait staff did an excellent job with our food and drinks. We thoroughly enjoyed the well prepared food as well. After the caking cutting, it was taken to the kitchen, cut and prepared for our guests. Top notch service all the way!
There aren’t enough words to say how much we appreciate everything that your staff provided to make our wedding and experience in Te Anua so special. We will remember our Distinction experience for a lifetime".
