Head Housekeeper - Invercargill

The brand new 150-room 4.5 star Distinction Invercargill Hotel is seeking an experienced Head Housekeeper to join our dedicated team. This full-time role will see you leading a team of housekeepers, ensuring our high standards of cleanliness and presentation are consistently maintained across our hotel.

What you'll be doing:

Oversee a team of housekeepers to ensure efficient and thorough cleaning of guest rooms and public areas

Monitor and maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies, placing orders as needed

Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and standards to guarantee a premium guest experience

Provide hands-on training and guidance to the housekeeping team

Liaise with other hotel heads of departments to ensure customer expectations are being met

Ensure all health, safety and hygiene regulations are adhered to

What we're looking for:

Significant experience in a housekeeping supervisory or managerial role, preferably within the hospitality industry

Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness

Good communication and problem-solving skills to effectively liaise with guests and other departments

A hands on approach with a working knowledge of a hotel housekeeping department

Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a hospitality environment
