Dunedin Leisure Lodge - A Distinction Hotel is seeking a Sous Chef to complement our team.

Ideally applicants should have prior experience as a Sous, however we will also consider applications from talented CDP's who are ready for a Sous Chef role with a minimum of 2-year Kitchen experience. You are required to be passionate and creative and have input in developing ideas and new dishes. It is important to be adaptable, dependable and have an ability to lead. To be successful in this role, you need to be willing to multi-task and be flexible in your approach to work and working with others. You will be well-organised and display effective time management skills.

We are a small passionate team, using local suppliers and modern cooking techniques.

About You:
- Ensuring a high level of producing and working with high quality food
- Ensuring that the kitchen operates in a timely way that meets our quality standards
- Natural leader & role model, who is a clear and concise communicator
- Helping in the preparation and design of all food menus and recipes
- Experience in A la Carte and Buffet menus
- Up to date knowledge of NZ Food Safety, Food Control Plan and general Health & Safety legislation
