Distinction Hotels

NZ Wide Hotels & Conference Centres

Updated 17.03.2020
The Distinction Hotels Group’s highest priority is the health and wellbeing of our guests, employees and local communities.

We would like to update you on the measures we have in place when you stay, dine or conference at any of our New Zealand wide hotels.

Like other businesses tackling this issue we’re being guided by the New Zealand Ministry of Health (MOH) which recommends regular cleaning as one of the most important preventive measures we can take.

We provide our hotel employees with best practices and guidelines and have supplemented these resources with additional COVID-19 cleanliness specific guidance, training and information consistent with our own high standards. We are ensuring that our hotels have sufficient supplies of equipment and materials

Copies of the MOH advisory notices have been placed in the hotel public areas and guest rooms.

We have ensured that our employees are aware of the latest information in respect of COVID-19 and what they may need to do should someone present themselves at the hotel with potential symptoms. Distinction Hotels have a comprehensive procedures document in respect of dealing with a notifiable disease situation.  This document can be shared on request.

We keep a travel register of all our employees and any employee that has visited any Category 1 country will be required to self-isolate for the prescribed period as per the New Zealand Government policy.

As circumstances develop we will continue to prioritise the health and wellbeing of our guests and employees. We sincerely appreciate your support in keeping our global community safe in these unprecedented times.

Kind regards,
Duncan Fletcher,
